The diverse economy also makes the Kenai Peninsula less susceptible to state and national recessions.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough is home to world-class healthcare providers including the Central Peninsula Hospital and the South Peninsula Hospital. A high quality of life and rapidly growing medical sector draws high-talent professionals from across the U.S. State-of-the-art Oncology and surgical centers allow residents to stay locally for quality treatments. 

Education

We are proud to offer a range of educational options, including the forty-four schools in the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, the Kenai Peninsula College located in Soldotna, and AVTEC Technical Institute located in Seward. 

Cost of Living

While weekly food costs are comparable to Anchorage, housing is substantially less expensive. The Kenai Peninsula Borough offers one of the least expensive housing and rental markets in the state. Many areas of the Peninsula also have access to Natural Gas as well.
